Proverbs 16 (part 1) - Commit to the Lord

On Feb 23, my eyesight started to deteriorate. My visual acuity had declined to the level whereby I had stopped doing my daily bible study. I found it very tiring for eyes to look at the computer, and the small font size. On Saturday, March 8, 2014, 50% of visiom had darkened. By Sunday, March 9, 80% of vision had darkened, I had trouble even walking...I could not see where I walked and what I ate. For the next 8 days, my eyesight kept deteriorating. I continually prayed for God's miraculous healing. On day 11, Wednesday, my eyesight improved slightly. I continued to pray. On March 21, I attended church for the first since my vision impairment; bro Albert fetched me to church.. On Friday, March 28, I went to church camp at Port Dickson; bro Richard helped drive our car to the church camp. In the evening, I switched on the computer on my own and sang songs of praise and worship using the YouTube video clips. Today, April 7, is my first time doing my bible study.

Proverbs Chapter 16.

To humans belong the plans of the heart,
but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue. (Proverbs 16:1) (NIV)

The preparations of the heart belong to man,
But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. (Proverbs 16:1) (NKJV)

As human, we can plan and make plans. But it is upt God whether our plans will actually materialise. We must accept this fact of life...that what we plan to do may not happen as we wish or want.

2 All a person’s ways seem pure to them,
but motives are weighed by the Lord. (Proverbs 16:2) (NIV)

2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes,
But the Lord weighs the spirits. (Proverbs

16:2) (NKJV)

As human, we are often defensive of our actions. We think we are right in our own eyes. But God sees deep into our hearts, looking at our motives and intentions.

3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans. (Proverbs 16:3) (NIV)

3 Commit your works to the Lord,
And your thoughts will be established. (Proverbs 16:3) (NKJV)

In everything that we do, our work, our work, our ministry, we should commit to the Lord. And we will provide us the guidance and direction if we have a listening heart and mind.
